The world over, we measure our weeks with 7 days. God created the world in 7 days - the 8th day represented a NEW BEGINNING.

In Bible numerology 8 represents the new beginning of the Covenant God made with Abraham, which called for circumcision on the 8th day as a sign.

Number 8 is also the personal number for Jesus:

  • When we add together the letter values of the name Jesus in the Greek we get 888.
  • Every name for Jesus: Lord, Savior, Christ, Messiah are divisible by 8
  • Jesus also called himself the Son of man 88 times
  • The last book in the Bible - the Revelation of Jesus Christ - has exactly 888 Greek words

8 signifies RESURRECTION and REGENERATION and is an appropriate symbol for what is taking place in the church and nation of Nepal at this time.

God is doing a NEW THING – NOW it springs forth, even rivers in the desert places!

We have completed our fast track training for the eighth time here in Nepal!

It is like a downhill ski run - we push off and keep going fast until its finished. Over my entire 19-year mission ministry I have been involved in leadership training programs of this kind. They have proven successful in transforming lives and ministries of national leaders in a significant way. During the run, we work hard, but it is not hard work. The joy is in the fruit, and our fruit is increasing and multiplying! Only heaven will show the true results. Celebrate with us here!

Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.

You'd be amazed at the changes in Nepal since we first came in 2008. What a privilege it has been to witness the development of a nation! We have new roads, new malls, new clothes, and a new constitution. Yet for me, the biggest change is the freedom in the church. God is doing a new thing, and it is not only happening here – but there is a release of God breaking forth in the nations of the earth bringing salvation and prosperity as it goes.

Before graduation we prayed individually for each student. God revealed glimpses of their callings and future ministry. Some we saw as trees planted firmly and spreading forth branches. Others are trail breakers with strong feet for climbing high places. Many will bring atmospheres of freedom through worship. What treasure God sees in these leaders! For them Bible School has created a NEW BEGINNING. I know for sure they will never be the same.

There are some new beginnings ahead for our ministry as well as we stretch into new nations.

THANK YOU for being a part of what God is doing through these schools of ministry. Every student you have sponsored hold great investment for the future in their own particular grace and call.
